Many casualties have been feared recorded as a train crushed a Dangote Cement truck and a commercial tricycle in Kano State on Sunday.
The incident reportedly occurred on Obasanjo Road in Kano metropolis around 11:30 am.
According to a witness, the train rammed into the truck and tricycle, popularly called Keke NAPEP, simultaneously after efforts made to flag down the train failed.
“As the driver of the trailer attempted to cross the rail line, the train hit the vehicle and the tricycle simultaneously,” a witness said.
The passengers in the tricycle were said to have been rushed unconscious to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention.
HSENations learnt that the Dangote Cement truck contained bags of cement which security agents prevented hoodlums from looting.
