Safety tips children should know about school bus
The early kids, no matter how early they are must know and understand safety. The preschool-aged should receive at a very understanding level what is required of them while on a school bus at all time. This training should not only be discussed as precautions for safety but also the meed to have a deep knowledge and understanding of what they should do to promote health and safety in their respective environment.
The need for a nature and highly scrutinized behavior while on the bus is very important.
Considering statistics, taking the school bus is found to be more safety cautious than walking home. Lot of children have met with several and unreasonable accident while attempting to walk home, therefore the need for school bus safety tips is very important.
1. Wait in a safe place before boarding the bus.
While waiting for the bus to arrive for pick up, it is very important for children to stay in a safe place before boarding. The place should safe and build safely from gutter, broken objects and sharp objects which can lead to injury. parents need to be mindful of teaching their kids to safely stand away from the curb and of course, any traffic.
2. Avoid horseplay
The period for waiting for the bus for boarding should not be the time to starting play around, moving object or not maintaining the right position. There should be no playing, running, pushing or shoving, especially by the street where there will be a plethora of oncoming traffic. Parent and teacher or bus stop officer should ensure children are calmly positioned for their incoming bus.

3. Always wait for the driver’s signal
Children should be taught to avoid approaching the school bus except there is a stop for them. For safety reasons, children should learn to wait for the driver’s signal and ensure the bus come to a complete stop and the driver informs you that it is now okay to board the bus, before entering the bus.
4. Wear your seat belts at all time.
While on the bus, children must learn to always use their seatbelt to avoid falling, slipping when the bus in motion, hit a gallop, pothole or come to a sudden stop. Do not put your book bag or any other extra items you may be carrying in the aisle of the bus. Keep it on your lap or if it all possible put them on an empty seat if no one is using it.
5. Be prepared and attentive to your stop.
Learning to stay attentive and sensitive to your stop is very important, children must learn to always be active and sensitive enough to be at alert for their stop. Do not unbuckle your seatbelt and/or get up from your seat until the school bus has come to a complete stop. One thing you can do to prepare to get off of the bus more quickly is to gather all of your items and have everything ready to go as soon as the bus is stopped and you get the go ahead that it is okay to leave.
While the school driver focusses on the safety of all the children, it is very important that children are taught some of this learning im order to avoid safety hazards.
