COVID-19 In Nigeria Hits Over 50,000 As NCDC Announces 476 Fresh Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 476 fresh cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

HSENations reports that NCDC disclosed the new update via an official Twitter handle on Thursday night.

According to NCDC’s tweet, of the 476 fresh infections, Lagos recorded- 235, FCT -44, Kaduna -41, Borno -33, Plateau -28, Abia -13, Edo -13, Rivers -12, Imo -11, Oyo -10, Kano -9, Kwara -7, Enugu -5, Katsina -5, Gombe 4-, Ogun -4, Nasarawa -1, Zamfara -1.

Meanwhile, HSENations reports that to date, 50,964 cases have been confirmed, 37,569 cases have been discharged and 992 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

As at the time of filing this report, more than 22.5 million cases of COVID‑19 have been reported in more than 188 countries and territories, resulting in more than 790,000 deaths; more than 14.4 million people have recovered.
