HSE Summit 2020: Checkout the Official Speaker Lineup

The second edition of Health, Safety and Environment Summit is headlined by some of the top professionals across the safety industry, both locally and internationally.

HSE Summit 2020The professionals, who will serve as speakers in the online event, serve in different capacities in ministries, private businesses, HSE professional bodies and institutions affiliated with HSE practice.

Among the 9-man speaker on the list is the Lagos State Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment & Water Resources, Belinda Aderonke Odeneye.

HSENations gathers that the astute HSE expert will feature alongside IOSH’s Director of Business Development, Richard Orton; Vice President of the East African Region, SOWSHE-A, Jackie Lwanga; Assistant Director on Environment, DPR, Ejiro Diasy Ufondu; An Environmental Consultant, Adewole Taiwo.

Also on the list are a Senior Economist and Researcher working with FBN Quest, Chinwe Egwim; Director General at LSSC, Lanre Mojola; Head Strategy & Partnerships, LSEFT, Tosin Faniro Dada; and the Chief Executive Officer, Combined Training Solution, Funmi Adegbola.

HSE Summit 2020, organized by Century group and the Global Performance Index (GPI) is slated for 4th of September, 2020 and Speakers will discuss the theme “HSE In Our DNA: Recycling To Wealth”.

Brief Info about Speakers

Belinda Aderonke Odeneye is a permanent secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Lagos State. Mrs Odeneye holds a Master Degree in Environmental Pollution Control from the University of Leeds. She has worked as a scientific officer at the Federal Environmental Protection Agency. She is considered an astute HSE expert with knowledge from local and international capacity building training.

She is a member of the United Kingdom International Institution of Risk and Safety Management, a member of several NGOs committed to the protection and improvement of the environment.

Richard Orton is IOSH’s Director of Business Development. The executive of the leading professional body for occupational HSE experts is also a member of the Centre for Safety and Health Sustainability. He is also the director of the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSCHR).

Jackie Lwanga has served in various capacities as an HSE expert. She was once the airport manager at British Airways, ensuring operational safety and security. She was a Quality, health and Safety manager, consultant and trainer for KNWI, Pro Ride Limited and Belloré Transport & Logistics respectively. She is the Vice President of the East African Region, SOWSHE-A. She is also the Project HSE Manager at the East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline. Jackie holds a Master degree and a diploma in NEBOSH.

Adewole Taiwo is an Environmental and Sustainability expert and he is the executive director at Recycle Point. He is also the CEO of Taiwo Adewole and Associates Limited.

Funmi Adegbola is a council member of the IOSH Council, representing, West Africa. She is the CEO of the Combined Training Solution, one of the major partners of the organizers spearheading the HSE Summit 2020 project.

Tosin Faniro Dada heads the Starts-up (Lagos Innovate) at the Lagos State Employment Trust Funds. Since moving in from Boston to Nigeria, she has worked with Polaris Bank (Formerly Skye Bank) as the one managing Oil & Gas upstream Client. She was also the head of Strategy and fund at LSETF.

Lanre Mojola is the CEO/ Director General of Lagos State Safety Commission (LSSC); he has an MBA in Facilities Management from Sheffield University, UK.

Chinwe Egwim is an experienced lady economist and researcher. She works with FBN Quest. She is a member of the Board Committee on Research at the Nigerian Economic Summit group.
