Ghana Imposes New Safety Measures, As International Airport Reopens Tommorrow

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has announced that the Country’s International airport will be reopened from Tuesday, 1st September 2020.

The President, however, noted that new regulations will be enforced to stop a further spread of the Corona Virus.

The President said in a nationwide broadast yesterday that “I am glad to announce that Kotoka International Airport will reopen and resume operations from Tuesday, 1st September 2020,”

“Any passenger arriving in Ghana must be in possession of a negative Covid-19 PCR test result from an accredited laboratory in the country of origin,” he said.

Ghana number one citizen added that passengers must also conduct another COVID Test at their airport, exempting children less than age of 5.

He said people “who test positive for Covid-19 (upon arrival), will be handled by the health authorities for further clinical assessment and management”.
