Environmental factors that causes safety concerns in workplaces are often part the quality of air you breathe to the condition of the roads you drive on, environmental factors can have a major influence on your health. These factors have evolved considerably over time, due to both natural and human-caused events.
Professionals in the environmental health field examine how people interact with the world around them, chronicling the many ways that these interactions can impact physical fitness, vulnerability to disease, and other aspects of human wellness.
Today we will be discussing environmental factors that causes safety concern to our organization and workers.

1. Chemical Safety
The use of chemicals has become rampant in our society, almost no industry perform their daily routine without the use of one chemical or the other. These chemicals, some are decomposable, while those which are not have effects on our environment and health; which majorly alters the chemical safety of the society. Organizations need to be careful with chemicals and methods of disposal after use.
2. Air Pollution
This is another factor which contributes to Environmental safety issues. Burning of harmful substance in open space which at the end contaminates the environment and mix up with the air we breathe in making it unhealthy.
3. Climate change and natural disasters.
Climate change and natural disasters have been a Norm in some region of the world, where destruction of the natural environment has led to destruction of building, natural Bio-Life and has of course reduce the natural freshness of the environment.
4. Diseases caused by microbes
Microbes can be useful to human just like they can be harmful, the case of communicable disease which is caused by environment untidiness has make the environment become unhealthy as the world revolves, microbes moves freely due to activities which are been performed or occurred naturally which at the end have huge side effect on human health and safety.

5. Lack of access to health care
Organizations and society who do not take the health of the society seriously have contributed more to this factor as lack of medical care has breed more transferable diseases among people at the workplace and within the community.
6. Infrastructure issues
Infrastructure can harbour microbes which make the workplace unhealthy and can easily cause the transfer of diseases. The use of Poor infrastructure is also a major challenge when environmental factors is concerned.
7. Poor water quality
Water are essential need which everyone must have access to at all time, availability is not enough but having a good and quality water supply is very essential. Water born diseases are easily transferable which poses health danger to employees and individuals in our society.
8. Global environmental issues
This is almost the most concerning issues for environmentalists and scientists. Global warming is a direct consequence of the greenhouse effect, which is produced by the high emission of CO2 and methane into the atmosphere. Most of these emissions are produced by the industry, so this can be remedied by social responsibilities and actions taken by companies and factories.
All the listed factors can be studied and worked on to ensure little or no effects on the lives of workers if handled in a proper manner.
