Colonel Barthรฉlemy Blรฉdรฉย is currently Key Expert of the European Union-ECOWAS Project called โSupport to West Africa Integrated Maritime Security โ SWAIMSโ, in which he is in charge of the private sector and civil society and acts as Liaison Officer with the Regional Centre for Maritime Safety and Security in West Africa (CRESMAO). He is also Deputy Chief Facilitator at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre in Accra, Ghana for the Maritime Security and Transnational Organised Crime course since 2013 to date.
Blรฉdรฉ is Administrator of maritime and port affairs and has held important positions in his country, Cรดte dโIvoire, in particular those of Deputy Director and Project Manager for the implementation of the ISPS Code at the Port of Abidjan from 2004 to 2011 and Adviser to the Director General of Maritime and Port Affairs.

He was a Senior Researcher at the Dakar office of the Institute for Security Studies (ISS) from 2014 to 2017, from where he published several articles and analytical notes on maritime safety and security in the Gulf of Guinea.
He was a consultant for the United Nations system between 2017 and 2019. In this position he contributed to the realisation of several projects in West Africa, in particular the revision of the merchant marine code of Guinea and the study of a strategy for the development of a blue economy in Cรดte dโIvoire.
Colonel Blรฉdรฉ is a graduate of the World Maritime University in Malmรถ, Sweden (MSC in maritime affairs, specialising in shipping management) and the School of Maritime Affairs Administrators in Bordeaux, France. He is completing a masterโs degree in project management and a specialisation in monitoring and evaluation.

Flavian Mutunga is currently the Executive Head of Department (EHOD) – Health, Safety, Environment and Wellbeing at Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia PLC.
He has excellent command of Energy, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) structures and management system and his experiences cut across reputable companies such as Safaricom Kenya PLC, British American Tobacco (BAT), Silentnight Kenya and Unilever Kenya.

Gareth Calvin Nortjรฉ is representing South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (SAIOSH) on the AfriSAFE2022 panel of judges. He has worked across most parts of South Africa for multiple leading South African construction companies and OHS consulting firms implementing and maintaining OHS Systems, rigorous auditing, meticulous risk analysis and guiding large corporations and construction companies to successful and words class OHS Management Systems. He is currently serving the South African OHS Professional Industry as the Membership and Communications Manager for SAIOSH.

He has over 20 yearsโ experience in Health & Safety and is currently the Safety, Health & Environmental Coordinator for the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). He previously participated in the shortlisting and selection panels for several awards in the UK. He is also an award ambassador for RoSPA.

Mrs Nofisat Abiola Arogundade is a passionate safety professional with almost four decades of experience in safety administration, regulations, enforcement and advocacy.
She holds an MBA in Operations Management and retired as a Director of Occupational Safety and Health from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Nigeria in 2016.

Nthabiseng Mmusi is the Safety Health and Environmental Manager of the largest mine in Boswana in charge of Mines operations. She holds the Chairperson of the Jwaneng Town’s “We Sparkle Like Diamonds” position which is a group put together by the Town Mayor to ensure objectives of targets of the “Jwaneng Township Environmental Regeneration Strategy are achieved”.
More than 10 years of professional experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental control. She as promoted safety through effective training and orientation for all project personnel.
Ms Mmusi has vast experience in monitoring and ensuring compliance with ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 Standards, including safety, health and environmental statutes and regulations.
