AfriSAFE Board Chairman: Buhari Pays Tribute to Rear Admiral Olukoya

President Muhammadu Buhari paid his farewell tribute to former military Governor of Old-Ondo state and Chairman of African Safety Awards Board, Rear Admiral Sunday Abiodun Olukoya (rtd), who passed on recently.

Olukoya passed on at 72.

In a statement released by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media, Buhari sent condolences to all affected by his death.

He described the late Rear Admiral as a brilliant officer who distinguished himself in his career in the military and performed creditably in Ondo.

According to the President, Olukoya despite his retirement continued to offer his services to his community as a private citizen.

Thereafter, he prayed Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal rest and comfort his family, friends and associates as they mourn him.
