The Nigeria Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) paid courtesy visits and awarded key members of their association and professional partners in recognition of their support roles to the yearly activities of the body.

This was contained in a press release detailing the exercise held between 15th and 18th of September, 2020.
Among those awarded are the CEO of Hybrid Group and member of ASSP, Dapo Omolade; A foundation member of ASSP, Engr. Oladimeji Niyi; The Group Managing Director of The Future Concerns Group, Engr. Tony Oguike; and Umar Abubakar Garba, General Manager, Tariff and Billing of Nigerian Ports Authority.

The press release revealed that the President of the body, Mrs Mercy Omoifo-Irefo led the courtesy visits in the company of one of their past President Emeritus Daniel Osadiaye and Mr Emmanuel Okudor.
She appreciated Ambassador Felix Nakpodia and all past Presidents of the association, including Emeritus Herbert Nwaka, Emeritus Daniel Osadiaye, Emeritus Justina Okoro, Mr James Coker and Emeritus Ekam Nsikak.

The President also gave kudos to the members of her executives, committee chairperson and all members of the Chapter for their effort in the promotion of the association’s goals of enhancing occupational health and safety in Nigeria.
The delegation also paid a visit to current Regional Vice Director of ASSP, Gbolahan Kamil Abiodun, lauding his exemplary leadership roles played in past years to the growth of the association. The President, Mercy congratulated him for representing the Nigeria Chapter as one of her Regional Leaders.
