BREAKING: FG States Position On Reopening Of Airports

The Federal Government has stated it’s position on the reopening of airports amid COVID19 pandemic.

HSENations reports that the federal government through the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika announced via his Twitter handle that the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos will resume domestic operations on July 8, 2020, while the airports in Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri and Maiduguri will come alive on July 11, 2020.

Other airports, according to Sirika, well reopen on July 15, 2020.

On international flights, the Minister said Nigerians should await further information.

Sirika tweeted: “I am glad to announce that Abuja & Lagos airports will resume domestic operations on the 8th of July, 2020.

“Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri & Maiduguri to resume on the 11th.

“Other airports on the 15th.

“Date for international flights to be announced in due course.

“Bear with us, please.”
