National Fire Safety Summit 2023: Uniting Key Stakeholders to Enhance Fire Safety Awareness in Nigeria

The National Fire Safety (NFS) has announced its 2023 Summit, aiming to gather key stakeholders across diverse sectors to address urgent concerns regarding fire safety and emergency management in Nigeria.

As per the management’s statement, the summit is slated for December 13, 2023, at Yanna Apartment in Utako, Abuja, with a focus on enhancing safety awareness in Nigerian workplaces and social environments.

The statement highlights the attendance of prominent figures, including the Honourable Minister of State for Police Affairs, Chairs of Senate Committees on Gas, Army, Navy, Defence, Air Force, Police, and the Controller General of the Federal Fire Service. Service chiefs are set to partake in panel discussions, emphasizing strategies to equip Nigerians with safety management skills.

Key objectives involve fostering collaboration among sectors, advocating for safety consciousness, and featuring expert insights on safety management strategies. Notable participants encompass government officials, service chiefs, and representatives from over 30 private companies in sectors like Hospitality, Manufacturing, Banking, Insurance, and other services.
