This partnership brings together the Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers (NISafetyE), a distinguished entity within the Nigerian Society of Engineers, with a mission to elevate safety standards and practices across Africa.
About NISafetyE
Established on February 11, 2016, with the approval of the NSE Council, NISafetyE emerged from the vision of Engr. Azuka B. Emeasoba FNSE and the collaborative efforts of Engr. Adeyemi B. Oyedepo FNSE, facilitated by then NSE Deputy President, Engr. Otis Anyaeji FNSE, FAS.
The institution, initially conceived in 2014, was granted formal status due to the dedication of its pioneer Chairman, Engr. Adeyemi Oyedepo FNSE. NISafetyE has since been at the forefront of advancing safety engineering in Nigeria.
Programs and Offerings
NISafetyE is renowned for its comprehensive range of programs aimed at enhancing safety practices:
- Workshops & Seminars: These sessions focus on improving knowledge, reducing risks, and creating healthier, safer workplaces.
- Webinars & Training: Offering a suite of training and qualifications in Health, Safety, and Environmental Management.
- SHES Technical Sessions: Targeting critical areas of safety engineering to prevent accidents, promote health, and ensure workplace and community security.
Leadership
Engr. Oluseun Faluyi FNISafetyE, MNSE, serves as the National Chairman of NISafetyE.

A COREN-registered engineer and Fellow of both the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers, Engr. Faluyi holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA in Operations Management and Marketing, and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program.

About AFRISAFE 2024
AfriSAFE 2024, the premier platform for advancing safety and health initiatives in Africa, will be held in Zambia. The event will celebrate Zambia’s cultural heritage while focusing on safety excellence. Supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Labour and Social Security of Zambia, the congress will feature the Safety Congress on November 7th at the Radisson Blu Resort in Livingstone and the Award Dinner on November 8th at The Boma, Avani Victoria Falls Resort.
