Military and Paramilitary Officer’s Wives Associations Unite with SHE Safety and Health Initiative to Champion Women’s Health, Safety, and Empowerment Across Nigeria

In an inspiring show of unity and purpose, the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Nigerian Navy Officers’ Wives Association (NOWA), Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association (NAFOWA), Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre Officers’ Wives Association (NAFR-COWA), and the Nigerian Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) have joined forces with the SHE Safety and Health Initiative (SSHI) to promote women’s safety, health, and empowerment across Nigeria.

Under the theme “Empowering Her Health, Elevating Her Safety, Amplifying Her Voice,” this landmark partnership will be showcased during the SHE SUMMIT: Gender and Safety Week 2025, scheduled for November 3–8, 2025, across military and police formations in Nigeria.

The six-day Summit aims to reach over 5,000 women and girls from the Nigerian Armed Forces, Police, and Civil Society, equipping them with critical health knowledge, safety preparedness, leadership development, and mentorship opportunities.

Championing Women’s Safety and Leadership

The collaboration between the SHE Safety and Health Initiative and the military and police officers’ wives associations represents a powerful model for inclusive leadership and gender empowerment. It highlights the role of women as pillars of resilience within the nation’s security ecosystem building safer families, stronger communities, and a healthier nation.

The SHE SUMMIT 2025 will feature thematic activities and training sessions across key military and police installations, culminating in the Leadership Summit, Conference Awards & Gala Night at the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC) Buhari Hall, Oshodi, Lagos.

Health Clinics offering free breast and cervical cancer screenings.

SHE Conference Gala & Awards Night, recognizing 40–50 outstanding women leaders in health, safety, and humanitarian service.

Unveiling of the “SHE Pink Box Initiative” — a Safety and Dignity Box designed for women and girls in schools, Military, and civilian communities.
