A father, mother and their young child lost their lives in a devastating multi-vehicle collision on Dec 10 near Secretariat, inward the Otedola Bridge on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.
According to a statement by Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the crash involved three cars an Audi, a Toyota Camry, and a Toyota Corolla and was triggered when a heavily loaded truck, reportedly speeding, rammed one vehicle from behind.
The impact caused a chain reaction, sending the car into the other two moving vehicles. Tragically, the colliding car carried the family of three, who were all killed instantly.

The injured were rushed to the Lagos State Emergency and Trauma Centre at Toll-Gate, while the deceased were handed over to the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU) for evacuation.
